I have spent my whole life in road cycling - I fell in love with it as a child and I am still passionate about it. It is an incredibly complex sport: it requires not only performance and will, but tactics and strategy, as well as technical and skill, are equally essential. It demands extraordinary dedication and humility, and even those with decades of experience can be surprised by an unexpected situation or tactical challenge, because here everything always happens ‘on the ground’, i.e. in real time and in a matter of seconds. All it takes is one missed moment, one inattention, one undisciplined maneuver and entire races are decided, sports careers are definitively ended.
I have spent the past 15 years implementing, bringing to life and keeping seemingly improbable projects alive: these were the GESU cycling clothing company and the Epronex cycling project, later the Epronex-Hungary CT professional cycling team. We built both from scratch, step by step, together with my wife and both became project (business) leaders in their respective segments in Hungary and defined it for years.
Epronex - ‘the elite sport’, where there are no compromises, no second chances or excuses, only absolute performance exists - with all its beauty and all its difficulties. During the 30 years - of which I spent 25 years with a race number on my back, and then the last years sitting in the accompanying car as a director - I had the opportunity to experience and learn a lot - about life, people, sports and most of all: “Everything has its place and its time.”
Cycling? - it captivates you, you can be young or old, slow or fast, it is an experience for everyone - elegant, easy and offers such freedom as few sports - because you don't even notice and you find yourself ‘right out in nature’, away from the noise and worries of everyday life.
Unbound? - I believe in the ‘human face’ and spirit of cycling, where it is more important to think and behave as a cyclist and as part of the cycling community than mere performance or speed, only in this way will you find your place, companionship and ‘harmony’ in the saddle!
